Effective & Passionate Nonprofit Communications and Operations Professional Boasting Extensive Social Media Curation, Editing/Writing, and Administrative Experience
Currently living in Atlanta, GA, Viet grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. After finishing high school, he attended the University of Virginia, where he majored in Media Studies with a concentration in Media Policy & Ethics. While there, he served as Associate News Editor and Copy Editor for The Cavalier Daily, which propelled his interest in digital publishing. He later interned for publications including xoJane and C-Ville Weekly.
After graduating college, Viet moved to New York City where he shepherded the social media efforts of various startups and tech companies and served as the Social Media Editor for Rebel Circus.
During a brief stint in Washington, DC, Viet helped launch PAHO Foundation's new website, created core promotional and corporate materials for the nonprofit's extensive rebranding process, and led its social media endeavors on Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn as its Communications Intern.
Viet then relocated to Atlanta, GA and worked as South Arts' Program Assistant, strengthening the communications and social media efforts for its Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers.
Viet also worked at PAHO Foundation as its Associate Manager, Communications and was in charge of the nonprofit's communications, marketing, and public relations strategies.
On his free time, Viet loves exploring the greater Atlanta area, in search of galleries, cute cafes, and eateries. He is obsessed with coffee and cheese and would watch any melodrama or romantic comedy at least once.
