Community and Digital Marketing Strategist Passionate About DEIA

Viet “Vee” VoPham (he/him) is a Richmond, VA-based professional with a passion for community building, digital marketing, and philanthropy. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Vee’s knowledge and passion for digital media and communications flourished during his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, where he majored in Media Studies. His involvement as an Associate News Editor and Copy Editor for The Cavalier Daily sparked his interest in digital publishing, leading to valuable internships at xoJane and C-VILLE Weekly.

After college, Vee’s career took him to New York, NY, where he played a pivotal role in the social media efforts for various startups and tech companies, which includes serving as the Social Media Editor at Rebel Circus.

With an adventurous spirit, Vee has made significant contributions to US-based and international nonprofit organizations of all sizes. Notable experiences include working with South Arts, PAHO Foundation, the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, and Candid (formerly Foundation Center and GuideStar).

Recently, Vee recently excelled as the Community Specialist at Pantheon, a leading tech company specializing in website operations (WebOps). As a valuable member of Pantheon’s Developer Relations Team, Vee actively nurtured and expanded the Pantheon community. Responsibilities included monitoring online community spaces, creating engaging social media content, and organizing community programs and events such as the Best in WebOps Awards and Community Champion of the Month.

Vee now works at Alight, where he oversees all stakeholder and donor activations for the organization’s Marketing and Engagement Team (MET), which includes managing the Alight Global Perspectives webinar series.

During his free time, Vee enjoys staying updated on the latest tech and nonprofit news, volunteering for LGBTQIA+ and other causes he’s passionate about, traveling, spending time with his pet Corgi (named Finn), and exploring Richmond’s delightful coffee shops, eateries, and parks. With a penchant for coffee, cheese, and a good melodrama or romantic comedy, Vee finds joy in life’s simple pleasures.
